Anche quest’anno, ReGenera è stata invitata come partner scientifico del congresso di Functional Food Center, con questo rappresentando l’unica realtà italiana dedicata al well-aging. IL congresso quest’anno si svolgerà nella storica città giapponese di Kobe e il prof. Marotta è stato chiamato come speaker e componente del ristretto comitato scientifico di esperti internazionali. Il Giappone peraltro rappresenta una sede privilegiata in merito a studi scientifici in ambito di nutraceutica e funztional food, avendone lunghissima esperienza ed anche una specifica legislazione che promuove e tutela la proprietà scientifica ed indicazioni terapeutica di prodotti dedicati. Il prof. Marotta ha avuto l’opportunità di studiare e fare ricerca per molti anni in Giappone, ottenendone anche uno specifico dottorato universitario nella loro lingua madre e dirigendo per 10 anni un laboratorio.

The keynote speaker was prof. Marotta and the meeting features the most authoritative Asian specialists in the field.
The conference room was fully packed and, most important, about 10.000 physicians and health professionals registered for a live attendance at distance.
The event as covered by the most reputed national TV channels and in the next days a series of interviews followed up.
The organizer, VCC Preventive Medical Promotion Foundation, given this success, is planning further similar top scientific gatherings this year in other locations.
There was a general consensus on the importance to deepen our knowledge in this area as well ass starting providing practical steps forwards an evaluation and phenotypic monitoring of gut microbiota, while envisaging designer pro-prebiotics interventions.
