Il prof. Marotta è stato invitato come main guest speaker al prestigioso convegno della Korean Food Science Association, la più datata ed autorevole associazione nazionale coreana che si occupa di ricerca in ambito di functional food, dagli aspetti di scienza di base, a quelli biotecnoogici produttivi e fino al campo applicativo clinico. Il prof. Marotta ha relazionato sull’influenza del microbiota sul cervello ed anche recato dati del suo gruppo di ricerca in merito all’intervento con probiotici e fitonutrienti del suolo e marini. Sono state stabilite la basi per collaborazioni scientifiche tra istituti universitari e l’associazione ReGenera per quanto attiene a sviluppi di ricerca di base e con il Montenapoleone Medical Center per studi clinici pilota

There was a general consensus on the importance to deepen our knowledge in this area as well ass starting providing practical steps forwards an evaluation and phenotypic monitoring of gut microbiota, while envisaging designer pro-prebiotics interventions.
